“I'm gonna miss you,” Ted said to me. We both knew I wouldn’t make it much longer, and before he knew it, I was kissing him. It was my first and last kiss, and it was everything I had ever imagined. Though my lips had blood on them and so did my hand, he didn’t give a shit. I pulled away from him and gave him a look, silently telling him I would be alright. I smiled and wiped a tear from his cheek. I leaned back against the car and closed my eyes. Blackness. Ted cried next to me for who knew how long. I was there with him; he would never be alone again. I wanted to tell him that I was okay, that my pain was dull now—technically, everything was dull. However, he didn’t listen; he couldn’t. I told him to get up; I told him to live his life. Once again, he never listened. It got to a point where I tried to move him, but he was still too. Eventually, he gave up, and then we were together once again.
“I love you, my Teddy bear.”
