Based on the game's concept, and taking into account the inspirations the game has, there is a mod for DayZ that, for those who have already played it, makes the experience much more immersive. Now imagine having a system with the same idea in Ardem, where health and the impact that diseases can have on your character are yet another challenge within the game? That's what I hope for Game It's not just a zombie-killing simulator, but primarily a game that creates choices for survival. The names of the two DayZ mods are: Terje Medice and Terje Skills, a great inspiration for Ardem. Finally, all we can do is express our gratitude for the work and respect for all the feedback and suggestions that everyone is willing to give. Hugs to all, and I look forward to enjoying this incredible world of Ardem.

#Medical system and survivor health
28 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I love these mods
but having this much would be way to tedious but having a good amount would be perfect
like ripping out bullets from your body would be good
I made my own little survivor skills mod for dayz. Would love to see something similar to this included as it’s a little more simple and straight forward.
I believe this is already planned. Survivor skills are at the very least on the drawing board..hopefully resetting upon death by default
Think of it more akin to zomboid
Maybe not as many
But i would expect crafting, cooking, health, firearms, melee, etc. Just simplifications
Yeah that sounds perfect.
Adding advanced skill systems either with game release or the ability for added mods that do so later on. Those that plan to do RP servers would definitely benefit from these things. Or even just the ability to choose a job type (mechanic, farmer, cook, scavenger, fisherman, hunter, electrician, plumber, carpenter ect) that would give you advantages over others that did not choose that specific job.
It could be cool, but imo, if not implanted in vanilla, it should not be set as a mod. Terje is cool, but it'ss a pain in the ass to set if you want a custom setting on dayz.
Definitely want a complex health system!
BTW Terjes mods on DayZ has recently been Banned:

It matters because its affect a HUGE player base, and people paying for what seem to be something done illegal. Just note for modders ou there, before thry decide to moneytize mods.
Actually they are back now lol, however with some changes
I wouldn't say it was illegal, just against Bohemia's rules.
Terje is a great modder.
The decision to monetize has nothing to do with the quality and content of the mods; this is more like a hate war. And to be clear, the mods are active again, just as they were before.
One thing is what the mod is supposed to to, which are that you are refering, another thing is what was underneath it. And that had to do something with monetazation too.
The mod got banned for Terjes malicious DRM, which breached Bohemias own Term of Use and User License Agreements. Motetization was also revealed which is unautorized (its a official statement, not mine). So everything was part of the mod. baked in, we as modders so that too. Technically Terje added hackick and cheating tools into the mod, to use on every server that was using one of his mods, and he was crediting people for liecense every month, which he wasent allowed too either. Therefore Bohemia Banned him. Bohemia though gave the mods a go again, but on open source, and all elements where removed. Because they know loads of DayZ servers are using Terje So they active but with Bohemia watching over them, till somebody else can remove the DRM and the monetization.
Its not hate technically, you cant jsut add malicious DRM to other people server and credit for that.
Terje is banned even the mods are operational.
I understand and am perfectly aware of the situation. However, the purpose of the recommendation has nothing to do with defending Terje or modder x or y; it is simply a recommendation for Ardem to create a complex healthcare system.
And lastly, Terje's example isn't about his attitudes, which have nothing to do with the ardem [a specific issue], it's about the proposed mechanics of the mods, nothing more and that's it.
Good point. Terje medicine is a very complex mod. Im sure though you can mod this. The mod itself is now open source, i took a look at it earlier. So my suggestion is copy it and add it here to Ardem as its mod. Just dont moneytize it loke he did or add mal code
Spend a few days trying Terje Medicine and Skills after it got free, we added it on our new EU2 Dera E-Sport server since Intenz was to hardcore. Its pretty good only part i dont like is the amount of UI notifications.
Terje is very fun to set, the system is really inteligent.
Having to earn experience to make a fire on the first try is kind of dumb in my opinion. Ive been lighting fires since I was a child and to not know how to in a game when your character doesn't have to earn experience to use fully auto weapons is just silly. If there is an xp system for basic survival actions there should be an xp system for everything from using guns to cooking food.
Lighting a fire shouldn't be hard with matches and the right materials, but without matches for instance I have no f'in clue.
Well i have after been an sgt. Instructor amd scout leader. We are though to even be able to make a fire with one match, or without. But its surely your mind and your competence the most important thing in Survival / Bushcraft.
