a normal AKM can take all attachments

#

a spetznas one is just an AKM but fully decked out lets just say

#

there are definately different varients of the AKM but its just a different gun in general

#

like the AK-47 is a different version of an AKM

#

ya know what i mean?

By AKM I’m speaking of a normal, wood-grain standardized bone stock AK-47.

And Spetznas was just an example name for the more rare version of the AKM, I wasn’t pointing to an actual real-life variant. The name was more-so a placeholder.

I’m suggesting the rare variant of the AKM be something almost similar to an RPK only obtained through looting places that weapon style would “fit in” with, like military installations with harder requirements to access, etc making it actually rare to begin with.

For example, in Miscreated you had a normal AK and their version of the rare weapon was a RPK style “big brother” of the AK called “The Comrade”. Look into these guns from that game to get some idea of what I’m suggesting. Obviously not 1:1 but something along those lines would be cool.

These are more so just examples, I’m not suggesting this setup exactly, just the idea of implementation. Developers can make changes as needed, with inspiration from the suggestion. 👍

I get where you’re coming from, but if the goal is realism, then creating rare variants that perform noticeably better than the base weapon actually breaks realism more than it helps it. In real life, a gold plated M16 wouldn’t magically shoot faster or hit harder, and an elite Spetsnaz AKM wouldn’t inherently deal more damage. It would just be a standard AKM with upgraded accessories. Real performance differences come from things like ammunition type, barrel length, or different weapon models entirely not special versions of guns that drop in a bunker with boosted stats.

Adding statenhanced rare versions of real weapons turns the game into more of a looter shooter instead of a grounded survival experience, and it risks shifting balance toward RNG rather than player skill. A realistic approach would be to let all weapons function like their real counterparts, with rarer spawns simply coming with better attachments, higher durability, or unique cosmetic details. And if players want something that functions like an RPK, it makes more sense to add the actual RPK instead of a fictional, powered up AKM variant.
