Our presevoker consistently does very high damage but seems to lack throughput during periods of heavy damage. I am not an evoker player and was hoping someone could take a look to see what's being done that is not optimal: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/1FxTBvparfyQKtRG
Thank you.

They're making an active choice to focus on damage.

got it, what specifically keys you in to that, because he swears he is doing the "max hps rotation"

I haven't dug into the logs, but... he's using the max dps rotation.

right, I am making the mental connection that what he is currently doing is focusing on damage. I want to give him feedback on what he needs to adjust to bring the damage down and heal more, but I haven't been able to pick up too much of pres, just essentially that LF>EB should be alternated. I can see he's not doing that, but so are some other presevokers I've compared to in WCL, but those other presevokers are also pumping hps

thank you for taking the time to respond!

he is absolutely running a talent build focused on dps, he doesn't have dreamflight which is a major healing cd

On top of that, he's missing 30% increased Dream Breath on Renewing Breath (free healing on a button he should press fairly often) and Power Nexus (increased essences) to get there.

@near jay in the mythic fights you’re also dropping a ton of “bad” blossoms where you’re effectively just wasting mana

#

Obviously some of these are EBs, but the ones in red are all massive overheal. Fine if you’re just sending and/or if it’s a burst, but if it’s not a burst that’s 5% mana each, and could be saved for actual damage (eg spears coming down)

#

Looks like you’re also not maxing out spiritbloom as an empowered spell, you’ll pick up a ton of healing there too
