Hi everyone, i've been trying to step up on my Deva Evoker for weeks but now I am struggling to upgrade my parses and don't see what I can do better in my gameplay, so pleaaase can someone take a look at my logs and see if he can find out what i am missing ? Here's an example of a fight on Magmorax where I believe I played well but didn't have a top parse on it : https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/gwNKDQry8TfpAka3#fight=7&type=damage-done

Heroic parses are rough. Your fight length is a full minute longer than top parses. If your other raid's dps is higher, and you kill the boss at 2:30-2:40 like the top parses, your parse is a 95 percentile. The parse number is dependent on a lot of things. Other than that the main difference between your log and top logs is the number of EB procs. They have slightly higher uptime (better hover usage probably) and have a couple more living flame casts, but got lucky and got extra eb procs. Don't sweat that kind of stuff.
Alright, I guess that I should cast more living flames outside of Dragonrage then
Btw, during Dragonrage, is spending all our Iridescence: Red procs a priority or not ? Because until then, I always cast all my Disintegrates then get back 2 EB with Burnout procs and Azure Strikes, and by doing this I often lose 1 or 2 Iridescence: Red. So maybe I should sometimes stop casting Disintegrate to spend Burnout Procs, or also maybe forget about Azure Strike and only get EB with Living Flame, even if I don't have any Burnout procs ?
Not sure how helpful I am but basically, spend your burnout proc at the end of you disintegrate. Right as the channeling ends cast Living Flame and then right after start Disintegrate again and repeat until no EB or Burnout procs. Use SS, ES and Flame Breath on CD. Preferably ES after SS into Disintegrate.
Ok thank you very much !

It's a trick I learned from playing Warlock for years you can throw any instant cast at the end of any cast spell or channel.
Like in my Warlocks WoTLK rotation
Haunt->Corruption
Unstable aff->curse doom/agony
Immolate->siphon life
Souk Drain->nightfall proc(instant shadowbolt)
Refresh Haunt-Unstable-corruption.
Drain-immolate-siphon life.
Repeat.
The Instant Cast spell will cast before the GCD starts after the cast or channel.
Another thing is under utilization of Tip the Scales. Like on Sark. The Adds you can Tip the Scale Flame Breath cast on Heroic they will die fast and you want your dps on top rather than losing it on death.
And another thing is just slamming Disintegrate during Fury because you'll burn through your essence super fast and with the haste boost will do the most dmg. And on Sark you'll do that anyway as you can channel and hover to avoid first bombs in P1
I tried this "GCD cancel" mechanic and I rly can't reproduce it so I don't know what you exactly or if it works only on Classic or whatever
@little mirage It doesn't cancel the GCD, if the cast is instant, key being instant, you will be able to cast it at the end of the channel or cast of any other spell before GCD starts
It does not work for Empowered abilities
