Looking at your echo of neltharion kill your opener looks very incorrect. You want to hold tip the scales for the second firebreath inside dragon rage

You always want to use potion and trinket right after shattering star. And you want to precast living flame, not cast it after the pull. (I could just be bad a looking at logs and that's what you did)

It also looks like you have a ton of missed casts and time between casting. I noticed you glided twice and cast hover during dragon rage, on echo you should at best need to hover once there.

Making sure to get bare minimum 4 empower spells inside of dragon rage every time will help you a lot

Appreciate it! I had a feeling I was messing up my opener. As I seem to lock up and panic. I've used Helkili for my rotation since s4 of SL. But it seems like I might need to ditch it.

Rotation helpers can be useful for some players but they teach bad habits

It's more useful to learn why and when to press spells rather than click the button you see on screen

True! It seemed to help with Vault and when I played my hunter to fix my dps. But for this raid I'm doing awful. Noticed it yesterday when my guild pugged another evoker and they were doing WAY more dps.

Wish I was a little better at reviewing logs but yeah, practice your opener because knowing that will help with every other dragonrage as well. And then you just need to learn how to get between each CD with minimal loss

so basically i want to precast living flame. right before pull? then use dragon rage, fire breath, eternity surge (?), shattering star and fill with disintegrate and living flame till fire breath is back up and use tip the scales for it?

yeah the reason you pre-cast it is that basically it's free. you can't cast dragon rage without losing uptime and it's the highest hitting spell that you can have flying through the air when the timer hits zero

you also want to make sure you spend all your burnout procs if you are ever not capped on essence bursts

If I have a proc (?) the glowy thing around both living flame and disintegrate at the same time which should i prioritize, and should i finish a chain of disintegrate ie: using disintegrate till i can't anymore. before using living flame even if its proced?

In addition to what everyone said, you're 427 item level. Parses are compared to a lot of 440 players who are zerging down the bosses to get rare things like class trinkets and bomb dispensers. Don't expect to be OP before you've grinded m+ for a couple weeks. And that's a good place to practice your rotation
