You mean you uninstalled 6.5 and replaced it with 6.4, and have the Hoyo launcher set to look at the exact same location for it? Well you need to have two clients: one 6.4 and one 6.5, if you want to play on both ps on 6.4 and official on 6.5.

And the way to not have the launcher try to update your 6.4 game would be to not have the 6.4 game set as your install location in the official launcher. Not sure why you would want to change it to be your alternate install in the first place, but that's why you're seeing this message.

I'm saying your launcher is telling you to update because you set it to a 6.4 game install.
If you don't want it to tell you to update then you can't have it pointing at an older game install.
Downloading the game files doesn't affect the launcher in any way other than what you have set for the game. If you did something to your launcher outside of that then you need to go through the regular channels from Hoyo to redownload/fix your launcher.
