#Download All stuck

You can download manually if you are not able to make the connection to github through cultivation -> https://github.com/NotThorny/Grasscutter/releases/tag/culti-aio
I assume I should extract it in server folder?
you can extract it wherever you want, there is no "required" place for it
also GC is the server so that download is the server folder, you wouldn't need to extract the server folder into the server folder because it by itself already is such
just as a little silly note ^^
Now I've got new error
why build from source?
I mean you can if you want, you need to allocate more memory to gradle
just keep in mind that if you didn't change anything in the src, then all you're doing by building is getting what you already have ^^
Understood, I was just following readme file and now I am stuck with this
move your
BinOutput, ExcelBinOutput, Readables, Scripts, Subtitle, TextMapfolders there
You mean you're following the manual build part of the readme? Sure, you can do that if you want. You'll need to do what it says.
No, just running part
The normal setup part of the readme comes before building and tells you how to get everything set up, since you were doing the AIO download I assumed you were following it
Since you're not following that you'll need to do a lot more work
But if you're lost in what to do I strongly strongly strongly recommend following the quick setup guide
Again I assumed you were doing that originally since you were getting the AIO
Well, this is in Quick Setup section, that's why I feel lost
no...? Is this from like 2022?
were you not following instructions that told you to get cultivation and then do AIO download in the downloads menu?
As I mentioned at the begining, I had with Click Download All-in-One. like i pressed it and then downloading wasn't working.
Right, that's why I assumed you were following the setup guide
because that is what it says to do
So if you downloaded it manually all you do is set the grasscutter jar in cultivation settings, then move on to the next step in the setup guide
that's what the download in the menu does, it downloads the zip, extract it, then sets that grasscutter.jar for you. To do it yourself, you do the same: download the zip, extract it, and set the grasscutter.jar in Cultivation settings. Then you keep on with the rest of the instructions as normal
If you really want to build from src you can, and if you really want to get resources yourself you definitely can. It's just that the AIO already has it all, that's why it's the "all in one". To build and get res manually, you're doing a bunch of extra work to get the same stuff you already have in the AIO is all
I just don't want to have you do a bunch of extra work for the same outcome, you know what I mean. Simple is best
Okay, I've managed to laucnh the server and game but faced another issue. I assume we can close this topic
You can always open another thread if you have a specific issue, just be sure to check the pinned thread for common issues first
