#Tons of bugs in my game

There's all sorts of bugs
Fav Lance isn't working, energy recharge seems bugged, damage seems off in Abyss, artifacts are acting weird
Is the build of the game we have just bad and not really meant for this?
Tons of bugs in my game
I mean, this doesn't even really seem like it's good for testing.
Let me try and post my logs
I'm running the 4.0.0 build of the game
Oh and in one of the floors for abyss, I started with 0 energy
It's not about the game version, it's about what is implemented on the server.
Bad artifact stat would be an issue with resources more than anything.
Abyss doesn't have much work done in it, there will be plenty of issues.
Many artifact sets, especially those that need special handling (things beyond basic stat changes), will not work properly.
Energy recharge should generally be fine
Would using a public server be better?
Or is there just nothing that can be done, the game is just going to have a bunch of stuff that is not implemented and that's it?
Statements like this will never be true.
If that server has made their own fixes and implementations? Sure. If they're running standard GC from the github repo, it will be worse than the AIO which has fixes that are not in the main repo.
Do you have any public server recommendations? I mainly just want to build characters, grind artifacts, and then test them out in Abyss without the restrictions normal Genshin has.
There's only really one major public server that still runs
and what you're asking for isn't something you'll find on any gc server
what you want is GIO
Genshin Impact Offline?
official/offline yes
Well could I still do things like use commands to give myself stuff and play without resin?
of course, any private server can do that
Oh so GIO is still a private server?
of course
Where can I find more information about this?
if you want to run it yourself: #1025543438604710018 message
if you want to play on it then just connect to YuukiPS
gio, much like gc, is server software not a single server that is being run
Yuuki runs GIO and GC servers. Just keep in mind GIO is 3.2 and earlier, so Yuuki runs 3.2 for it.
There's no 4.0 of GIO?
Nope
Remind me what update 3.2 is, like what is that before
it's sumeru
Before sumeru?
3.2 is most of sumeru, it's only missing the last part of the main story there
I think that's right when I stopped playing
So I'd be ok with that I think
How do I connect to YuukiPS? Just type it in in Cultivation?
Since you are wanting to use abyss specifically, just a tip you'll want to teleport into it via command (scene ids are in gc handbook) since the schedule is messed up for it. Couldn't recall off the top of my head if there is a dungeon-specific command for gio, but just tp should work all the same
you could connect to it through cultivation, yes, but the 3.2 client you would download from Yuuki anyways and it already includes the patch file that auto redirects to them so you don't need any launcher at all
since hoyo deleted the 3.2 clients from public access after gio leak
So do I have to install the 3.2 version of the game?
I'm a little confused and tired sorry if I'm asking stupid questions
Guess I have to uninstall 4.0 then lol
Only times that isn't true are when protos are the same across versions (never happened after 3.2/3.3) or if the server uses protoshift (breaks a lot of stuff)
protoshift
it's just viagenshin
means it's 3.2 bins with protoshift for other clients to play, I'd reckon a lot of stuff is broken unless they've done extensive work on matching protos
Oh I see
no real gio 4.0 exists
the leak had usable bins to 3.2, though some people have done work to make 3.4 work - I believe that uses the actual leaked 3.4 bins, but the bins were pretty useless when I heard about it way back when they leaked. Anything beyond that is protoshift, not real
I'm a little confused, what exactly am I downloading here?
What is this long list of stuff
Is it just the zip at the bottom?
all of those are the zip, it's a split archive
should make sense if you look at the sizes - the game isn't 2 or 3gb, it's 30-40gb plus that client includes the voice audio
So it's broken up into parts?
yes it's a single zip file in 17 parts or w.e the number is
make sure you read the instructions that were above the link to that page carefurlly
I went to the YuukiPS server and tried finding tutorials there, they don't recommend downloading the game for some reason
You're absolutely mistaken in what you're reading
You didn't need to go to the server to get a tutorial either, by the way
like I said here, the instructions are really simple and they're all right above what you clicked on to get to the parts
This is the third time I'm installing Genshin in like 2 days lol
RIP my data limit
Why is it in parts? That's just so confusing
Many reasons to have zips in parts, some of which are
Better for weak/unstable connections.
Faster download speeds.
Beneficial when there are file size limits on hosters.
also a great question for hoyo, the creators of the game - they have provided every version since sometime around 4.5 in parts only
no single zip for the game is made by hoyo anymore, only parts
There is no downside to having a zip in parts. Just people not understanding how to use it.
I always say it is no different from a normal zip. When you get a normal zip (1 part) you just put the whole thing (the single part) somewhere and extract it
A zip in parts is no different.
Alternatively you can think of pizza
A pizza is great but for some reason these guys can't stop cutting it into parts
