Ok so you're using genshin 5.0, and what else are you using? A good start would be what version of Cultivation

1.2.0 doesn't support auto-patching 5.0.
That's why your game crashes
You need minimum 1.4.7, but recommended to get latest, 1.4.9, if you want to auto patch 5.0.
Just keep in mind that official grasscutter is for 4.0. If you don't have a 5.0 fork, or are not playing on a 5.0 public server, you won't be able to play with your 5.0 game client.

do you normally delete things before you update them, or do you just update them
both ways would work, but I would say you're wasting your time if you normally delete things first and then fresh install new versions except in very specific circumstances

by playing on 5.0, by nature of how genshin works you are alone, and by nature of how gc works you have commands

no, it's saying you need points to bypass the server cpu limit to use give all. Not commands.
You can use all commands normally.
you can also just go to the yuukips discord and get 300 points from notice if you don't want to use their web command (no points) or wait for server to be less busy, or use regular commands to get everything (as opposed to /give all being the only thing you tried)

Simpler method is to use a premade full build, like the ones I provide in #resources and the Cultivation downloads menu. I have provided them for every version since around 2.8/3.0 except for 5.0.
