I recommend taking baby steps. Making it so you can access it by hosting it on one computer and accessing it on another first.

getting it working on a phone is a step harder than getting it working between two computers.

my advice is get it working between two computers - This involves forwarding ports for example, and then worry about connecting with a phone.
