This simply means you did it wrong.
Cheats are not related to Grasscutter at all. They are clientside.

You're using cheats, which are lauching the game separately, that is why this is a setup issue

Cheats launch the game separately.
That is why they have special handling, and if not set up properly, will have issues with the proxy not being on
Cultivation turns the proxy on and off based on game state. When Cultivation isn't launching the game directly - because the cheats are - then if it is set up improperly then Cultivation will see it as the game being closed. Off goes the proxy. You connect to official.

if it works differently than akebi and most other cheats do
your options are to try and fix it, or use minty, or use a manual proxy (ie. fiddler) instead of cultivation
