Trying to log in to the old version of genshin, a password error pops up. Genshin version 3.6 and grasscutter 3.6 are installed on the computer. If I had grasscutter 4.0, I was able to log in, but there was a version incompatibility error. I need version 3.6.

#

The first screen shows the grasscutter settings. On the third screen with proxy enabled - "system error" error. On the fourth screen with the proxy turned off - "IncorrectFormatPassword" error

System error has four causes:

  1. Grasscutter is not running (either you didn't start it or an error caused it to stop running)
  2. Encryption is enabled (you must disable it in Cultivation settings)
  3. Wrong port/address (if you're connecting to a local server, the correct port and address is localhost and 443)
4.You have "use HTTPS" checked on the Cultivation home screen.
Please make sure to check these possibilites.

The bot answer above is correct regarding your problem. Please read specifically #2

Okay, I turned on incryption, but that didn't help.

fading crag

You have it backwards.

sterile solar
#

So what's changed? I had encryption turned off before, too..... It literally doesn't work both ways.

#

The only suggestion why it may not work is that build 3.6 was downloaded from yuuki servers. But I can't download fiddler because I'm from Russia( Does this app have any alternatives?

fading crag
#

Because that build comes with it enabled

#

Show me your config.json

fading crag
#

If you don't know what you're doing, which it appears you do not, then do not use Fiddler.

#

Your problem is because your settings are wrong.

You manually downloaded the 3.6 build to %appdata%\cultivation\grasscutter?

Yes

Alright, now show your Cultivation connection settings. They are on the front of Cultivation

Yes

#

HTTPs must be unchecked for a local server.

#

Once you uncheck it, you must re-launch the game.

#

Also remember that any changes made to config.json require Grasscutter to be restarted. If you have not restarted Grasscutter since disabling encryption, you must do so now.

sterile solar
#

for real? Do I have to restart grasscutter after each checkbox state change?

fading crag
#

Cultivation settings are not the same as Grasscutter settings. The only checkbox in Cultivation settings that does anything to Grasscutter settings is the encryption checkbox, since it changes encryption in Grasscutter's config.json.

#

After any changes to config.json, if your Grasscutter is already running, it must be restarted.

#

For Cultivation settings, such as the connection ones on the front of Cultivation, those apply when you launch the game. Therefore, if you change any while the game is running, it must be closed and re-launched.

incorrect format password. I full closed terminal and genshin and cultivation...

fading crag
#

The easiest way to ensure all changes are applied immediately is to close Grasscutter and the game first, then made whatever changes you want, then start them again.

fading crag
#

The proxy must be on to play on private, it is required.

#

The proxy is also not related to Grasscutter cmd being open. The proxy checkbox in Cultivation settings must always be checked. Then the proxy will turn on and off automatically with the game being launched and closed.

fading crag
#

Close the game and open Cultivation again. Then start Grasscutter. Then click launch in Cultivation.
