(Cultivation 1.2.0, https://discord.com/channels/965284035985305680/1020465003767279718 followed this tutorial) I followed Thoroniums tutorial on how to set it up but it keeps giving my friend that error, we set up hamachi, changed the Access Address, downloaded the data in cultivation itself, set up the grasscutter.jar and downloaded mongodb with the "automatically start mongodb" option on. But for some reason it keeps giving that error code, personally i think it might be something in the config or mongodb itself but i dont think so. Might be something in his files.

Ok to clarify a few things:

#

Only the host downloads Grasscutter/MongoDB/Java

#

The other person, the one connecting, only downloads the game and Cultivation, and then in your case also hamachi

#

As for 502, very simple, wrong address/port/https or the server isn't running.

so its mostly the couldnt connect error

spring bramble
#

Couldn't connect... what? What error is it

#

Or what is the full error message

balmy estuary
#

uhm i believe it just said "couldnt connect to server/network"

spring bramble
#

4214...?

# spring bramble 4214...?

You haven't patched your game correctly or your client version is mismatching with the server's version. Please enable "Automatically Patch RSA" in your Cultivation settings, or downgrade/upgrade your game/Grasscutter

im not sure if there was a error code behind it

spring bramble
#

Ok can you go confirm the full error for me

balmy estuary
#

and we cant really check right now because his wifi it down

#

ill ask maybe he remembers

spring bramble
#

Wifi actually down or just proxy being on?

balmy estuary
#

like down down, out. some family things

spring bramble
#

Ok

#

Well I can tell you that there almost certainly was an associated error code, and that code is what is important. The errors that don't have codes are fairly specific

#

The way you've worded it sounds very much like 4214 though

#

A simple thing they can do, even without wifi, is to launch the game again and confirm what the text in the bottom left corner of the login screen says

balmy estuary
#

yea sorry i cant remember what code it was, though i believe there wasnt one (unless there has to be one, then im simply blind or something)

spring bramble
#

There doesn't have to be one, but it's pretty unlikely for there not to be

balmy estuary
#

ok he's online again, he is going to turn on his hotspot for a brief moment and we'll see what it says

balmy estuary
#

this is what happens when he tries to join

spring bramble
#

Ok and you are hosting the server, or your friend is?

balmy estuary
#

i am

spring bramble
#

Ok and are you able to get in

balmy estuary
#

yep

spring bramble
#

Ok then go ahead and confirm that your friend is using the correct hamachi ipv4 address, port 443, and has unchecked https in Cultivation

#

Are you seeing their connection attempts in your Grasscutter cmd?

balmy estuary
spring bramble
#

Then make sure on your end, you opened ports 80, 443, 8888, and 22102 in windows defender firewall with advanced security

balmy estuary
#

uhm let me check

spring bramble
balmy estuary
#

do i use tcp or udp?

spring bramble
#

tcp

#

udp for 22102 if you want to make a separate rule

balmy estuary
#

okay did that, do we now try again?

spring bramble
#

Yes

balmy estuary
#

alright, so from the looks of it IT WORKS! my friend was able to get the opening cutscene, since he is on his mobile data and doesnt wanna use it all, he's going to try again in the morning. if we run into anymore issues ill let you know

#

i just want to say thanks so much for helping me resolve this so quickly and for the clear instructions

spring bramble
#

No problem

balmy estuary
#
