kicked myself from game and logged in again, prompt reappears. I click prompt, it disappears again
is it because I am using wrong traveller?

If you want to really play the story you have to download version 3.2.
This version 4.0 is only for testing new characters
I say "only" because every time you do a quest, it will have to be through commands, one by one, basically

if you want to stick with 4.0, archon quest breaks if you basically have any party member before you're supposed to unlock Amber
having both Travellers in general also breaks some quests since the quest checks assume you only have one of the two
the lazy solution is to create a new account, and don't use any ps commands until Amber is added to your party and probably avoid double Traveller if you don't want to deal with any quests breaking over it
