I'm having problems, I don't know what's going on as every time I log in, it's saying "Server Busy (502)" and not only that, I would turn off Automatically Patch RSA or something like that, and it would work until it says "invalid account format," and the second screenshot is something I'm kinda worried about as I don't know if I'm supposed to put any of these together or do something, I'm new to this and would appreciate any help.

RSA patching needs to be on
Start the server first then you can connect to it
You didn't show what you have in your Cultivation launch settings (front screen) or anything about your Grasscutter so that's all the info I can give until you provide
It looks like you extracted Cultivation zip and the game zip to your desktop too... really not good way to do it
You need to go actually install Cultivation first, via the msi
Do note that this is also outlined in the setip guide both in the pinned thread and on the github page
#1025543438604710018 message
okay so where do I put it?
First, you shouldn't have downloaded Cultivation zip at all. As instructed both on the Cultivation github page and the setup guide, you should be using the msi
As long as it works then whatever, but if you get errors the first answer is going to be to actually install it
front screen, where address/port/https are
Also when you download anything and extract it somewhere, if it has multiple files then it should be in its own folder. Putting several different things with all their files loose all over your desktop is one of the worst ways to have files no matter what they are
Just so I get this right without being stupid like usual, is this right?
You can make yourself a folder "Genshin4.0" and put the game files inside it, then have that on your desktop
yes
that's why it has the file extension msi (installer)
okay so for the cultivation, genshin files and language, all of these are gonna go into that file, as well as the jdk files?
No no no
I see you also downloaded mongodb as a zip, which again is not going to work
It needs to be installed
Same with java, you download the installer and install it
The only thing you download as a zip and extract somewhere is the game
You can just move all the game files from your desktop into a new folder there
Mongodb zip and cultivation files on your desktop can be deleted
Once you have them actually installed, Cultivation can have a shortcut on your desktop
Mongodb and java are handled by the system and you won't be seeing them in normal use - they get installed and then forgotten since the server and your system already know how to use them as they should be
Lost? Then follow the setup guide step by step -> #1025543438604710018 message
Here is a video version by Salmon of the same instructions, starts after you already have gotten the requisites of mongodb, java, and cultivation
so install emongodb instead of getting it as a zip file, and same goes for everything else except the genshin files and move it to the genshin 4.0 files, and for cultivation, I already saw another copy of the "genshin 4.0" folder and another cultivation on my desktop, just leave it there?
And for the java installer, Id get the "Windows x64 MSI Installer," and for MongoDB, all I see is the version, platform and the package, nothing about installing or anything
Of course you see nothing about installing because you downloaded the zip not the installer...
You had to manually change it off of the installer on the site to even select zip
It defaults to the installer because that is what you need
You have random loose Cultivation files on your desktop because you extracted it there. You should delete them to not confuse yourself.
You also have random loose game files on your desktop from doing the same thing. You should move them into their own folder
I already deleted everything, I downloaded the installer for Cultivation, and just did Java, im just lost about Mongo now
Why are you lost about MongoDB?
no I think I got it now
I was being stupid, im just moving the genshin files to the 4.0 folder
okay I installed Mongo and the rest, I hope, so it just looks like this
For cultivation, its in another genshin 4.0 folder with the "Unistall Cultivation" thing in it
You didn't leave it on the default install location...?
Well whatever I guess
It's your pc
Now you can go download Grasscutter as per the setup guide and start it, then launch the game
Still haven't seen your Cultivation main screen but I'll assume you didn't change anything and therefore have it correct
A reminder that is: #1025543438604710018 message
You can start from the step right after downloading Cultivation since you did
here
You need to uncheck https.
okay done
If you're still lost following written instructions, again, this video shows 100% everything required for setup except downloading java, mongodb, and cultivation
As long as you've done so then as per the instructions, start Grasscutter and then launch the game.
You're trying to use game version 4.1, which is not supported.
You need to use 4.0 to proceed
You didn't download 4.0 and extract it on your desktop? Or did you change the game path in your Cultivation settings?
I downloaded the wrong one I guess
I thought the reason you had game files on your desktop was because you downloaded 4.0 to use
It'd be pretty hard to download the wrong one if you were following the setup guide #1025543438604710018 message since it links specifically to 4.0, so you'll need to go get that
Your 4.1 folder on your desktop is now just taking space and can be deleted unless you don't have the original game installed and want to play on official sometime
If you already have the official game or don't want to play on official, then delete that 4.1 folder on your desktop (to free up the space) and download/extract 4.0 to it's own folder there instead.
ill just keep it there so I can play on official
im just gonna try and fix the 4.0 now
Ok so you don't have the official game in the normal install path on your pc?
Just to make sure you understand what I mean
I dont
Ok then go ahead and keep it, you'd want to at least clean up the folder so it's actually just the game before going to official with it ideally
But anyways that's for you to decide with
Once you get the 4.0 game then you can play
It will
That's how it goes - have the right stuff, follow the instructions, it works!
Your first issue was incorrect settings/setup, your current issue is still incorrect setup (wrong game)
Once you have the right game then it works
bruh, idk whats going on but everytime Im moving this to the 4.0 folder, it says something about not being able to move it to the folder but opens the 4.1 folder, lemme just delete all of it and try again I guess
And I've checked and it says 4.0
Ok so stop first
There's so many problems here but I think the biggest one is your misunderstanding of the game files
So what says 4.0
Specifically
The zip file
Ok so you have the full game zip, correct?
Ok so make a new folder on your desktop and name it something like Genshin40
okay
Make a NEW folder do NOT put it over an existing game file
yeah
If you mix two game folders all you will do is break both of them.
okay im extracting it to the Genshin 40 folder
Ok great
When it is done DO NOT TOUCH ANY FILES
Just go open Cultivation, set the game install path in settings to the freshly extracted exe
Then if Grasscutter is already running, simply click launch
alright then
oh it works now
so I can just get every character and do abyss right?
Yep
Abyss doesn't progress normally so don't be too surprised when you have to use commands
Be sure to read the GM Handbook in #resources and the commands post in #1025543438604710018 for common commands
Very much appreciated
No problem
