to be clear, i tried the cultivation method first before trying the original 3dmigoto method of moving the mods to the mod folder

Both work when using 3dmigoto correctly
If you made any edits at all to your d3dx.ini, especially changing the target =, then you must return it back to how it was. target = GenshinImpact.exe
Mods must always be in the mods folder. If you download mods through Cultivation's mod menu, it does that for you.
That's not related to 3dmigoto launching with the checkbox ticked though

I've had the same issue; could someone help me? Im using an older version of genshin (3.3) in grasscutter with akebi, but the mods do not seem to load
in my case, the genshin executable isnt called GenshinImpact.exe , but simply GenshinImpact. Though both names as a target do not seem to let 3dmigoto work properly

no, yours is also GenshinImpact.exe and you must keep it that way
If you edited your d3dx.ini you need to edit it back to be correct, target = GenshinImpact.exe

I changed the target to its original state, but now theres another issue: I get booted to the cultivation launcher instead of going in game 😅

Your akebi and 3dmigoto didn't like to work together. Use Akebi to load 3dmigoto instead

ive now unfortunately encountered another bottleneck. ive renamed the mhypbase.dll to 2mhypbase.dll as listed in the thread. 3dmigoto does seem to work after that (notification appeared bottom left), but I am now unable to connect to the server 🧍♂️
