#Clarification before committing to a download

Hey, I do not mean to be 'that guy' but I cannot seem to find a direct answer. So, Grasscutter has not been updated to 4.0 yet, and the beta (that I believe I saw before), but people ruined it if I understand correctly. So the latest supported version is 3.8? I am asking because I'm in the process of making my own private server to mess around on.

I would really like not to download 4.0 if I will not be able to play on it so I simply just want to ask: the version to download is 3.8, not 4.0 (because the beta is not available), right?

Yes Grasscutter has updated to 4.0. Beta is not supported. 3.8 was never supported

You can see that it is updated to 4.0 both from the Github release and the full build in #resources

Hey, do I need to make the plugin folder myself?

So I downloaded the audio files and tried to install them into the game, but I still dont have voices. I figured out where to put the main folder, but where do i put the other two files that came along with it?

Thats' not the game root no, the folder that is inside of is the root

Okay, I replaced the files back to where they go and no, I want english voices, I'll load the game up and see if anything changes

do you happen to know of a plugin or workaround that would fix items from a chest? As it is now, they statically spawn when the chest opens, rather than spill out like they do on live. Also, for the barrels/crates that have a million food items laying around them

Update your grasscutter with the all in one from cultivation

as for the barrels, no, unless you fix the handling in the src

Ah, gotcha. I coulda sworn I did the downloads from cultivation already, seeing as I have all the folders in my grasscutter folder but I'll check again

You would have all the files if you've ever done the download

But it gets regularly updated

Your current Grasscutter must be closed for it to update as well

If it is running, you won't update as the files won't be able to be overwritten

Restarting Cultivation won't affect that, but restarting Grasscutter would

by worked, I mean the mobs/chests work now but I still dont have voices outside of set scenes like when Venti tells the story about Dvalin, but I had no voices when Diluc showed up at the temple with Kaeya. Will download and double check if it's the right game version (looking for English voices). Hope it works
