Not allowing access to GM may be nice for some users wanting a 'traditional' experience, but then you end up falling behind servers (all of the other GIO ones listed here, at the very least) which do allow gm and no pay-based primos/genesis

there's two kinds of private servers
ones that let you PLAY genshin
and ones that let you TEST genshin
at least that's what I've seen and experienced - GM servers are nice, yes, but where's the fun?

Yeah nothing wrong with asking for donos to keep server running imo

Generous Staff Events and in-game events can reward currency/BP/welkin
players get input on banners, "custom" banners, character buffs/nerfs, etc
our server has Kokomi without the -100% Crit rate, and most catalyst DPS characters have their charged attack stamina reduced to 30 - on top of many other buffs and tweaks
although the consensus is that kokomi is giga-strong when she can crit lmao
