#Whats the best way to start normal genshin without errors (without privat server)
38 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
huh, what?
could you tell me how, sir?
yes i deleted the whole private server thing and now im redownloading the normal genshin, because no one replied
and i also think there would be no other solution for this problem
yes i took that away and it still wasnt working
the best way to start genshin without getting any errors is launch it via exe file instead of using cultivation or any kind of launcher that the game provides
this is the most insano take
Doesnt works
Tried, but it said no game data found
I was able to play private server, but not normal. Repairing wasnt working and i only deleted the dll file
You didn't delete the right dll file then
And repairing doesn't remove version.dll, you have to
sounds like that shouldn't be an issue since you said you redownloaded the game
reinstall genshin
if repairing & launching via exe doesn't work
reinstall os
or do system restore
throw the whole thing out and go outside
im not living in a city (like you definetly do) and im out the most time so stfu
i did nothing to you guys, so whats your problem
i can play genshin, normal now
private srever was a cool experience, but with such a community. no thanks
Oh sorry, im not making jokes, so i didnt understand
Damn, I wasn't bullying you or anything. No need to be so offended about it. I was just explaining how having a stroll outside can make you feel better instead of stressing out from fixing genshin, since it wasn't launching properly.
Kind of obvious ur joking around
having fun while solving issues is the only way we stay sane.
Closing fiddler and repairing the game worked for me...if for some reason fidder might be running on BG that might be the reason..try checking for it on hidden icons and task mngr....im able to switch between the two no issues at all...also try running the game from the exe ...i also have a backup of genshin game folder that i use just to run private server
This is the same instruction given above (unpatch and launch game normally, without proxy) and is the normal method of switching. You don't need to repair in launcher, just remove version.dll from your game folder.
Using two separate copies of the game is the reason you don't have any other issues too, because you don't have to patch/unpatch every time, and in fact you repairing in launcher does nothing because you're not even using the launcher client to patch/play.
For people that really struggle, two copies of the game can be an easy way to handle it since no files have to be moved after first time setup. But you definitely don't need to use two copies of the game unless you really don't like moving one file into and out of your game folder when going between official and private (or using a launcher that does it for you, like Cultivation)
nobody gonna say anything about the guy randomly dropping a hard r lol?
