I downloaded the game today and want to try playing on localhost, I have mango and java17 installed,
my main question is can I play on 3.3 even though I installed today?

You need corresponding game client and grasscutter

If you have 3.5, why bother play on 3.3

Also, if you never play Genshin before, i suggest you play Genshin first, then play the PS

Cause you gonna ask tons of stupid basic question of how to play Genshin, if you didn't do the tutorial

Grasscutter purpose is only a sandbox, not a 1:1 Genshin replacement

"it doesn't work for me" = you will face the same problems on 3.3

Also yes, 3.5 is significantly more buggy than any earlier version

But if you download a 3.3 client and 3.3 grasscutter then yes you can play on 3.3
