Used the GM handbook, found the code for Amber's outfit, typed in /give and then the code, it said I got it but it doesn't show in the wardrobe.

Grasscutter version?

rotund light
#

1.5.1, the non-official one from #resources

coarse sonnet
#

When using the unofficial jar, you can expect many things to be broken

rotund light
#

I'm guessing that's one of them

coarse sonnet
#

Sounds like it

rotund light
#

Guess I'll wait for the official release

#

Or just play without the outfits for now

#

Thanks for clearing it up

coarse sonnet
#

Sure thing

#

Usually is a resources issue just as a heads up, you could probably fix it by using 3.4 resources or better 3.5 ones

#

The build already comes with resources, so the ones it comes with likely have the issue

rotund light
#

But wouldn't using 3.4 resources break something? I'm on 3.5

That's no good, I'm a Dehya enjoyer lmao

coarse sonnet
#

so use better 3.5 resources, or use 3.4 res to get the outfits and then switch back to 3.5, or manually edit the database (not recommended)

#

you can still play 3.5 and have the costumes, it's just a bit more work

#

the only thing broken is getting the outfits, accounts that already have them will continue having them without issue

rotund light
#

I'll see what to do tomorrow, since I'm about to sleep

#

I'm guessing the issue will be resolved in the upcoming official gc?

coarse sonnet
#

It's just a resources error, so it'll continue until you have fixed resources

#

The jar itself is actually unrelated. In general, anything else broken is due to the jar itself though

#

This case specifically is just resources problem

rotund light
#

Alright, I'll see about fixing it tomorrow

#

Thanks again

coarse sonnet

Sure thing

Good night!

Would be better to just use 3.5 Yuuki resources if you are going to replace them with newer ones, but not overwriting - just deleting and then placing the new ones

#

Issue is just the resources that come with the build there, current Yuuki 3.5 resources already use deobfuscated costume data for 3.5 and work to unlock

rotund light
#

Where do I get those resources?

#

Nvm found it

rotund light
#

General question: Would you recommend using yuukips as an alternative? Tbh I keep thinking about it but hesitating

coarse sonnet
#

As an alternative to playing locally? Yeah it's just running a fork of grasscutter, there's upsides and downsides to playing on a public server vs a local server

#

On a public server you have no control over data, so things like banners, and connect to a server somewhere else in the world so there can be ping depending on how far you are. But the upside is that you don't need to set anything up locally, no need to worry about configurations, you just launch the game and play

rotund light
#

Is it okay if I DM you?

coarse sonnet
#

Sure

rotund light
#

Updating the resources worked, thank you!

Exact procedure: update the resources following instructions in #1025543438604710018 for "Resources Errors"

# coarse sonnet this

one question:

Make sure you are getting specifically the folder named "Resources" from inside the downloaded zip, it may be several folders deep. If you try to just use the "Grasscutter-resources" folder it will not work, you need to open that folder and take out the actual "Resources" folder from within

I downloaded the "Resources" from gutlab repo, but the grass cutter has "resources" folder will that make any difference?

coarse sonnet
#

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking, the capitalization of the folder does not matter

woven estuary
coarse sonnet
#

Which is indicated by the instructions, even though it isn't written explicitly

woven estuary
#

yes I was just asking if the path is case sensitive

coarse sonnet
#

It is not, the instructions would include that if it was important

woven estuary
coarse sonnet
#

No problem, it is non-explicitly written to indicate that without needing to say it
