It sounds like you've updated your 3.3 genshin though, if you're launching it and it says 3.4 in the bottom left corner
Also you shouldn't be getting any update notifications anywhere when playing on private, unless you're on a public server like yuuki which has messages for it

your paths have to be different for that to be the case
I'd suggest you go to %appdata%\cultivation and see what your configuration.json says for the game path
I do recall there being an issue in the past where the Cultivation settings menu showed wrong information, so checking the configuration file would be best

Sounds like you had an issue with your cultivation in the first place for the settings to not be applying

You have two separate clients. To go back to official, launch your 3.4 game from the normal genshin launcher without doing anything else

That's because that's the default install path when you dl the game from the launcher
