There is no other thread like this sooo... I would assume that it doesn't reset after updating it :d. (never happened to me at least)

No, not one like that. Sometimes there's info in announcements though.
Generally just look at the github and see if there is a new commit which includes the update, or if there is an active PR for the update that is being worked on
When it updates, the github commit for it will be there and then you can download the action build from that commit
