Because in late game most of the times economic growth basically just drops or decrease.. I suggest that small rich countries or rich countries should get technological edge also because they are vital on the world stage and should be able to grow despite limited land because of thair shere technological power.. But wouldn't meet the winning condition because they are not taking over land and maybe a more realistic technological advantage for technologically strong countries,, maybe focusing on R&D boosts technology or something.... For the eras... Since we are in the 4th industrial revolution there should be the 5th, 6th ect to accommodate for late game so that there could be more growth as we have seen from back then looking at how the British industrialized and improved technology and that soon spread all over thr world so there should be something like that mybe the top countries or small nations with high gdp per capita and like overall technological Hotspot should basically have the same thing that happened to the British there after in a few years(1 or two) the world would be having a stubborn economic growth mybe starting from the naigbhours or allies & if there is a country that takes the country in the process of starting a a new era the country delays the era or the era continues unto the country that occupied it.... The reason is that it breaks the stagnating ot delaying economic growth in late game
