Yeah, there are some interesting dynamics in this mode. The way GDP/progress is distributed is particularly striking. Whereas America holds the lion's share in SS, in UN GDP is much more spread. Rimu and I made statistics, I'll have to show you later. This means killing countries that are in SS team is both costly for UN and also not really profitable.
For example you want to get rid of Myanmar, Vietnam and Philippines as India and China even tho they have small economies just because they can become very annoying

I Don't know about Indonesia, because SS desperately needs its pop, I would rather give Vietnam and Philippines to UN.

You know, the first time I played this mode was with Rimu. He was China and I was India. We lost Europe pretty quickly and soon all that was left was India, China and Australia. But you know what? We still had 60% progress and were thus even with the enemy team.
I think to win as UN you really gotta use that potential for high growth
