Just shot a turkey with a bow and arrow and didnt pass the harvest check essentially because it was killed with a bow. I feel if I shoot any animal with a bow, then it should pass no matter what for the fact of how close you have to get to be within range. Plenty of people kill rabbits, waterfowl, migratory birds, small game, and turkeys with bows every season. If this is going to be a limitation, then we should be able to pick the arrows we are going with and use a small game point then.

Maybe it's because you didn't aim for the head? I remember the tutorial includes a chapter telling players to shoot heads when hunting turkeys.

I believe it's a bug and that the devs will fix it. I already shot a turkey with a .22 and lost all the meat for sale, even though the .22 is tier 1 and 2. Apparently, only shotguns can be used to take down small game.
