If the maps are larger, theres going to be even bigger dead zones between camps. Having your vehicle serve as a mobile FT as well as a camp you can sleep at would give you a placeable camp essentially so if you need to go back to the lodge for ammunition then you can get back quickly.

Aside from that if you get knocked out travel time will ruin basically any animal you took down before that because of the meat degradation(if they keep that system)

It is a bit of a double edged sword in my opionin.
It depends on the execution.

If nothing else it could be an option. It wouldn't affect anything as is anyway, being an optional upgrade you're having to pay for with in game cash just like any other gear

From what I saw, and correct me if I am wrong, you said additional upgrade yet not that whenyou choose Upgrade A you can't choose Upgrade B

You move the car-tent very close to the need zone, sleep for free, and everything is basically done for you. And it can be easily abused.

And not respawn within a radius of several hundred meters.
