It’s truly unfortunate you make these sweeping claims when all it takes is a brief google search. Bullet traces are literally a real thing. It’s a pretty well known phenomenon, sincerely a 20+ year shooter

Yes it's generally not something that you see with the naked eye, but that's not what's modeled in game at all. In game the visual effect is most definitely modeled after tracer ammunition, which I would expect you to know about, which burns a pyrotechnic charge and creates a small visible "trail" behind the bullet which can be seen both in a telescopic rifle optic and with the naked eye, just like in game.

It's rather obvious when comparing these two examples that the visual in game is modeled after a tracer round and not the game making it possible to see a bullet with the naked eye, let alone through a telescopic optic.
