I think it's pretty obvious why this is needed. say your target dies in deep water? welp guess you can't harvest it because you'll instantly die while trying.

I can back this. I know ducks floats toward you. But ive had several deer, an elk, and a red stag die in a body of water and I either can't retrieve them cuz they were too deep or I couldn't find them cuz they sank and you can't see them.

Any animal you kill in waters too deep to reach should already float towards where you shot the animal from. If it doesn't, that's a bug and should be reported via the link in #woth-bug-reports

They didn't use to in the beginning. It's a feature that was introduced with a patch a while ago. As said, they should all be floating now and if not it should be reported as a bug (ideally with your save game attached).

Are they supposed to float forever? Mine seem to float for a minute or so before sinking to the bottom of the water. I’ve just assumed it was intentional but I’ll gladly submit my footage if it’s not.
