I propose the inclusion of the Eurasian aurochs in the new map of Europe, as an unique experience and educational opportunity. The symbolic presence of this extinct species, such as Bos primigenius primigenius or Bos taurus primigenius, could ignite interest in Europe's rich history and biodiversity. What do you think about this proposal?

They're extinct
Clearly it'd not make sense to have multiple huntable species then add a extinct species
If NRG and THQ Nordic made a second game placed back in the " ice age " then it could work but this really doesn't work
Recently
Honestly, I'm already bored of WOTH politics. 😒
Normally I'd be all for the education on biodiversity but I think they could do much better with an animal which is modern day and overpopulated, they coudl explain how overpopulation and underpopulation and unbalanced competition between species effects an ecosystem poorly, as many people say no use crying over spilled milk, education is better spent on our species that are being harmed or causing harm to our ecosystems present day
I would have no issues with them making reference to extinct animals in the area though, through books, Easter eggs discoverable landmarks like a fossil or something though, in fact it would definitly be nice to see a bit more oomph put into the historical parts of the areas we are hunting in, I love the nez perce because of how rich the history and traditions are in the story.
This species was part of the European ecosystem like the Cape Buffalo in Africa. Cale Buffalo was almost decimated before, but Aurochus yes was exterminated by the humans.
Yep
Super sad that such a beautiful animal was completly wiped out
Not to mention the huge niche they left behind
Many large European species, such as the Tarpan, Caucasian Bison, and others. I wish to remember many recently extinct species to raise awareness and provide us with the opportunity to conserve them.
Yeah
I get that complelty, I'd love to see them referenced honestly, like a fossil or a mention In a quest, we've got so many animals that have gone extinct within the last 100 years even, and yk they leave behind these huge ecosystem gaps. Wolves are a great modern example of this, ungulate populations have spiked up in many parts of the us and are now just finally starting to go down now that wolves are being reintroduced, hunters are less selective eith their animals than wolves, we don't always go for the sick or old or weak, sometimes we jsut want the meat so it's nice having a selective predator make a comeback and promote more genetic diversity in our angulate pops while also protecting the ecosystem from over grazing by overpopulated ungulates, these larger herbivore megafuana usd to balance that out too by being competition for smaller ungulates but many of their populations have dwindled or been wiped out
The raising awareness of extinct and endangered species by shooting them in a game is certainly a new angle.
this game is supposed to be realistic... Last time I checked they went extinct somewhere in the middle ages....
I don't understand why you want to have wild extinct cows in European maps
That's like adding moose to NZ...
Yes agreed hence me suggesting maybe a reference instead haha...might be a bit counterproductive to shoot a extinct animal, but I do think it would be nice to have some of these animals mentioned maybe using collectables like the skulls and sheds and artifacts from hunter cotw
I think that when it comes to education about extinction and wildlife management an endangered species or in repair species would be far better
But just as like a one off quest, but tbh I dont really think that necessary to the game
If there was a mission animal that's a moose that'd be cool
Also it's not confirmed it's just most likely
Yeah ik that... But still no sightings for a very long time.... And yeah the moose as the mission animal would be pretty cool
Also the aurochs went extinct 💀
How are we hunting something that went extinct years ago
And just because there’s people trying to recreate the aurochs via breeding to make it resemble one still doesn’t mean it actually is an aurochs and is still technically a domestic animal allowed into a simulated wild life style
If it were a separate game with extinct animals that’s different but this game takes place in modern day
As a mission animal myb I could see it... But not really
Moose make a hell of alot more sense for a one time mission animal than aurochs
Yeah...
If you want to do a more accurate animal that's based on the Auroch, then a feral Heck Cattle makes more sense.
As a mission animal, not a regular huntable animal.
Yeah
It looks really cool
Like the story could be that ppl believe that the auroch still lives and when we find it and shoot it it turns out to be just feral heck cattle
And it has to be put down, because Heck Cattle have higher aggression than normal cattle.
Yeah that would be cooool... Like it has been spotted BC of a attack or something
Lol
Heck cattle? Sure, no problem. The concept is similar.

Heck cattle are a breed created through selective breeding to resemble the extinct aurochs. They are attempts to recreate features of the original aurochs through genetic selection. In addition to historical recreation, Heck cattle are considered for future reintroduction into European forests as part of conservation and habitat restoration projects. This is done with the hope that they can play a significant role in the ecological balance, similar to what the aurochs had in their natural environment.
See this is much better
Look nice
Yes. The concept is the same as I wanted. 🤷🏻♂️
But much more realistic lol
But are there any that can be hunted?
No.
It would've only be a mission animal, because of it escaping.
