yes
barren ground caribou, rocky mountain elk, roosevelt elk, western moose, alaska moose
Those are all different species tho
Rocky mountain elk are not the same as Rossevelt
Western moose or Shiras Moose are smaller than Alaskan moose from my understanding
I don’t agree with this, the Roosevelt elk vs Rocky Mountain elk have many differences, mainly antlers. A 5 star Roosevelt elk has 6 tines on each side of its antler crown. Meanwhile the Rocky Mountain has 4 longer ones on each side. Not to mention the couler and a few smaller differences. With the 2 moose types a big difference is the couler but also the bell (beard). Also the Alaskan moose have an melanistic variant that the western moose don’t so different sub species mean different rare furs. For both the elk and moose there number statistics are very different. It just changes things up a bit and makes it more interesting when they are both moose or both elk but they have different weights, different money earned from them, different lifespan etc. why would they remove species and variety from the game, that’s just dumb
then why dont all animals get this treatment? dont all of them have minimal differences between populations?
Because we only have 4 maps….and they only share like two species.
Because There’s Not A Difference Needed. If We Were To Get A Southwest Map With Coues Deer, Desert Bighorn And Desert Mulies Then We Could Change The Bighorn And Mulies On Nez Perce Into Rocky Mountain Bighorn And Rocky Mountain Mule Deer.
gee, get lost
