I spoke about this some time ago with Sorei, about Mods and Admins being more transparent with the decisions they make on the server. This is directly link with the incident of last week. The members of the server have the right to know the staff's doings, after all the staff works to maintain the server as a good community not shut down people when being questioned about their actions. Additionally I'd like to request for the mod logs more specifically the logs that contain which members are getting muted/banned/kicked/etc. So that members stop questioning the mods constantly about a member, if all members can see the logs there is no need to explain time after time again why a decision was made in the first place and have people spread misinformation or mods' private information (totally not talking about Shinoda here). Again, the point of this suggestion is to keep things transparent with the members, I repeat again the staff works to make this server a good community, not to be a dictatorship. (kind of ironic coming from a Mika pfp I know.

#Mod/Admin transparency

Personally, I feel that certain things should not be transparent all the time, especially when it is personal or sensitive subject.
Either way there's a downside to this matter. On the one hand, it is nice to know about why something happened, on the other hand I feel like it is unfair to witchhunt over something.
It would just be better if none of the drama happens to begin with
I feel though that being able to ask for the logs should be allowed
I just want to put it out there that its not always good to have everything transparent constantly
We shall answer to this after discussing it in a beeg meeting soon
After evaluating it for a while and reestructuring the way we normally reprimand we've decided the following:
- Reprimands will be done in the same channel where they happen, when they're happening.
- If the reprimand happened some time ago (the conversation has already signigicantly moved on) or in DMs, we will reprimand in private.
- The warn logs will be kept private.
- It's possible to ask information about what happened earlier in a controversy in the server. However do take into account the new article in rule 4 - "Do not rekindle past controversies or instigate ongoing controversial situations regarding the server that you're not involved in." -asking is okay, but if it instigates the controversy again, the topic will be avoided by staff.
