It's used to flash an ISO to a USB drive

because unlike rufus where your usb drive can no longer be used as a storage

ventoy lets you do it

while allowing you to boot off of iso and img files if you move them to the usb drive

and its a one time installation unless you reformat the usb drive

and you will install a software installer

then you can use it

Resize your drive so you have some space to set up a partition, letters don't matter.
If youre just going to be trying it out, you can assign like only 40-100gb to the linux partition. Even lower is also possible but you might not get the chance to test out all the apps you want

my TV runs on 16:9 aspect ratio, I have a google chromecast HD plugged in because this is not a smart TV
