For how much criticism dead by daylight gets, I feel like one of the core gameplay elements that is actually good is the mechanic of looping. The main defense for humans is the combat but when you don’t have anything to fight with, all you can do is basically hold shift and spam drink sodas. That is in my opinion is the least engaging part of the game as human or Klown, it’s just running until one of you gives up. I believe this is mostly because the looping mechanics are incredibly undercooked, leading to the hold shift play style to be so powerful and boring.
My suggestion is to add some other way of defense in loops or cover. Which I’m going to use Amusement Park as an example as it’s probably the most balanced map with a lot of loops that were planned, left in.

I feel like the carousels on the map should’ve be able to climb up the stairs.

This could also add some rng and variation to the map, kinda like dbd with the way some loops might spawn in different places, I do feel like most maps need more variation like this.

It’s strange the fact that most of these structures went unused but I feel like if the devs could tweak them. They could be used as loops.

I’m not sure what to say, but I feel like there’s some places that how do much empty space that could’ve been used. But I’m not sure what to put there.

This specific loop does needs to be changed because I noticed this as human, you can abuse this loop very easily because this is an infinite. Most ray guns can’t reach you in this stall. So unless there’s two klowns it’s pretty much impossible to actually get a human here.

The only final thing I want to change is subjective but I think old teasers of the lighting just looks stunning and I would love if they could add the old lighting.

I also feel that if they do add another way like this to humans survivability they would need to buff klowns overall power to compensate for the fact humans got an increase in their survivability.

I do feel like humans would need a nerf if their survivability went up. Like their speed or stamina

given how bigger the game used to be, and that the tracker class originally was gonna be able to vault obstacles and tanks breaking through walls, it's likely more loops and obstacles were gonna be a thing at one point

I love the new map, it’s so good and feels like a bigger version of amusement park which is good. But I still won’t get over the fact it so many structures that were supposed to be useable just go unused.

apart of me does wonder if elements of that old original carnival map got used for this new one

It seems like it, with some assets

But the only thing that actually seems unused are some buildings and some of the assets from amusement park

I really hate the fact that we can see all these cool structures but can’t use them😭
