I do the mini games regardless but I know that a lot of people don't intrinsically like doing things for other people when there's little in it for them.
So I thought that if you gave XP for completing the mini games it may motivate more people to get on board.

They do give xp. At the end of the match when it's calculating your XP it'll say "Gifts given" or something along those lines which is you doing the minigames and gifting items to the surviving players.

yeah, but that xp is little. also it only rewards for items give, so if you get a trash item and don't give it to them then you won't get any xp

i agree with this completely. If there’s already xp being rewarded for mini-games, it’s not at all apparent. the minigame feature is very clever, but i never feel incentivized to play it.

I had no idea that was the case but I suspect others don't either so it needs to clock up in real time

Yeah it definitely could use a bump in xp so it incentivizes people to stay in the game and do the minigames. I also just give all the items away even if they're trash hahaha alot of the times the surviving players will have a full inventory so it'll just drop to the floor when you gift it to them it's up to them if they want to pick up or not.
