Scoreboard's width should be based on the longest name of the currently alive non-spectating players to remove wasted screen space. So the scoreboard would be thinner when all the players alive have names shorter than the maximum allowed username in the game.
The scoreboard's position should be dragged around with the cursor(don't allow offscreen) or be dependable on the condition of the nearest player being in the left or the right of your view, scoreboard on left if the opponent is nearest to the right or vice-versa. When the user switches display devices for the game while playing the scoreboard should respect the position of the new display based on a ratio. The ratio between the old x position of scoreboard and old display width should be the same to the ratio between new x position of scoreboard and new display width etc.
Show every spectating player in the leaderboards when spectating a game.
Players that lose all their lives should be removed from the scoreboard and only have the spectating number below increase. Players that leave after the match started should be removed from the leaderboards.
UserIds or usernames should be able to be copied from the scoreboard.
Show the ping of everyone alive in ms ( fixed width of the maximum ping allowed so the scoreboard doesn't shiver ) with no further action like hovering ( this applies to lobby menu too ).

Scoreboard's width should be based on the longest name of the currently alive non-spectating players to remove wasted screen space. I disagree tbh, if the scoreboard width did weird things like change width it'd be distracting
The scoreboard's position should be dragged around with the cursor(don't allow offscreen) or be dependable on the condition of the nearest player being in the left or the right of your view, this'd only work if all other UI elements would be draggable too. I do not understand "dependable on the condition of the nearest player. Just look at their nametag, the scoreboard is used to see player ranking and who is the farthest ahead, not sseeing what the player right next to you has
When spectating a player, highlight the record of that player in the scoreboard instead of repeating the same username twice in the screen
Show every spectating player in the leaderboards when spectating a game. I agree with this, while there is an 👁️ x N where N is the number of spectators, I wanna see the name of the players spectating
i want to see in 1v1s the opponent when he's approaching
not the scoreboard
Players that lose all their lives should be removed from the scoreboard and only have the spectating number below increase. I kinda disagree since it's very useful to know if that player disconnected or not (their network icon). Additionally it makes it look like the game had less players than it actually had
Is history more important than screen space?
I never really encountered issues with that though, the scoreboard is translucent, there's the minimap and you can hide the scoreboard with a button
a little yeah, though maybe disconnected players could vanish from the scoreboard
UserIds or usernames should be able to be copied from the scoreboard. U agree with this
but i want to see the stars that the opponent has while also seeing him when he's approaching from left of me
Show the ping of everyone alive in ms precise ping isn't important though, the wifi bars are GOod enough imo
a 1v1 with 30ms vs 60ms (both 4 bars) isn't nearly as bad as a 30ms vs 200 (4 bars vs 1 bar)
you can look at their nametag
can't figure out current powerup of my opponent from the nametag alone
cuz the nametag is in the middle of the model
you can't figure out their current powerUP at all
it's hard to explain but in isolation these sound like pretty bad but in actual gameplay I don't really encounter these issues even in 1v1s
Maybe have scoreboard's width based on the longest name of the non-spectating players when the game started only to have a fixed width ingame
Also if not all ui elements are draggable then make them?
and have the ratios between x pos and screen width and y pos and screen height stored in appdata or windows registry
for each ui element in-game
I suggested that too
oh ok. the current left-only scoreboard also is bad on pipes when the player is in the left of the map
can you post the link here for reference please?
