1. Blocking Fireballs

It was such a cool mechanic in my opinion, you could prevent fireball spams from getting in your way and even from hitting you.
And i don't think it makes it OP, because it means you'd have to find other ways to aim and get other Fire Flower players, instead of just mindlessly shooting it and going through the Fireballs, always guaranteeing you the hit.

2. Slowdown Blue-Shell

I can 100% see the point of removing it in 2.0, but that was an issue in 1.7 because of how broken and probably underpowered blueshell was.
But on the other hand, Blue-Shell pretty much is already strong, it's the best "get away" Power-Up since it always blocks stomps, AND projectiles when crouching, i don't think there's a good reason to keep it anymore.
Not asking to make it very slow like it was in 1.7, just a tiny slowdown, like 0.75x speed.

I'll have to disagree

It felt bad because it was a big slowdown. In 1.7 yes it did something for the Ice player.
Slowing down the blue-shell 100% gives you time to run away and protect your Power-Up, instead of immediately losing it, or, give you time to try attack the blue shell player with a stomp or even groundpound.

  • My suggestion is to not make blue shell very slow like in 1.7, half of it's speed (or around that), it's a little faster.
    While that pratically proves your point of "barely do anything for the Ice player", it's important to remember that Blue Shell itself is slightly slower than the player's running speed, so yes it will still do something for the Ice player (my run away point) even if it's not a big difference.

despite that ice flower is now the most useless powerup ever (atleast in my opinion, cuz its really map based) i really like this suggestion!

  2. Not sure. On one side, yes it's nice for the ice flower, but on the other side, there's nothing the blueshell player can do to prevent this, and the blueshell is already slow compared to regular running

about 1. though, is it such a good idea? The iceflower would really need a buff alongside this if it gets added because the ice is already so weak and now it would get countered by the one powerup you almost always have.

In some cases the slow ice balls going through the fireballs to actually hit is an actual strat.

Though I agree it would add some more depth to the gameplay, which is always a good thing imo

I agree 100% on the first one but I don't really care about the second one. The second one could be brought back or stay the same and I'm happy with both. lol 👍

what if instead the ice flower immediately spawned global freezing and kills every player except for blue shell players currently in their shell, but in order to actually use it you have to fire when there's only one second left in the match and it would only work on fortress, desert, or volcano
