Jungle

It would sink to the bottom before kicking itself out of the poison slowly.

Beach

As soon as it touches water, it'll slowly float upwards before launching itself higher (This process is slightly faster than Poison.)

Volcano

It would rapidly strike upwards while playing the fire death particle and burnt SFX from Players.

The big star would enter in it's I-Frames mode when inside any of the liquids, so walls, or any other ground don't get on it's way.
This mechanic will boost up games and prevent big stars from despawning in a way players don't have a risk of dying.

a question i have about this is why,,,?

jungle doesnt particularly have any problems with stars disappearing, i never notice games of jungle lasting longer than other maps-

now, instead of the stars falling into the poison, someone can take a life and can get all the stars their victim dropped, all from camping a ledge :'3

Fair concern.

My goal for this was to reduce situations where stars are unfairly lost entirely due to "stage hazards" rather than proper player fights.
The idea was more about keeping stars “in play” so fights continue, instead of ending because they fell into the liquids.

All that i said, i do agree this sort of rewards ledge campers, but i think it might be a good opportunity to refine this mechanic, no? I can't think of a perfect fix yet, but i believe tweaking it would help prevent that or any other issues.
EX.: slower rise overall, longer i-frames, or only triggering if no one is nearby.

Also star fountains are the main reason somebody gets all stars from a single kill

I personally like that the stars can get destroyed. It sometimes helps with strategy and when to go for a star or for it to be lost and run somewhere else.
Well... that's my thoughts on Jungle and Volcano. But Beach? I actually agree that the big star coming back up is a cool idea. 👀

Also stars still get destroyed by their timer, if you can be quick and get done whatever you're doing it gives a chance of getting it back, so thats an benefit imo

Idk. just feels like it's going to make Jungle and Volcano even more chaotic when I like how some big stars can be destroyed. sometimes it makes for a quick snatch right before it hits the lava/acid
but I also do kind of fold and maybe it would be better to have them come back out? Idk how I feel about this anymore. lol I definitely think it'd be good for Beach tho.
