click on a texture you want to edit, then paste it into libresprite. edit it, save, and use it as a replacement in the mod
some more options under "tweaks"
these three are all things i've always wanted to have, which will make my workflow easier
example of "zoom always enabled" (you can zoom even when not in freecam)
- "spectate yourself always": if you're spectating yourself in a replay and you lose all lifes, it'll show you a different player. if you seek backwards, "reviving" you, this option will spectate yourself again instead of that other random player
- "just puase on replay end": don't show results screen when replay finishes. just stay at the last frame
theyre really good tweaks for replays

today i've been toying around with yet another 3d model loader library, and after three separate attempts i finally got one that cooperates. it's quite promising. however, the whole idea is going to be quite hard to implement. so i'm going to release v6 today, with the fixed ai, spectating qol addon, etc. so it won't have to wait for days or weeks while i figure model replacement out
i prefer this to have many smaller updates than huge waiting times between feature drops

- New addon that adds QoL features to spectating and replays: zooming in at any time, spectate yourself permanently, pausing at last replay frame.
- Added some missing replacements (clouds, volcano bg, bonus decor, dotted coins, loading music, mega collect sfx, etc).
- Added hot reload for texture replacements (press F5 in-game to refresh sprites).
- Fixed emotes getting spammed in-menu.

Yes, that group of tiles do not have padding in-between the individual tiles that make it up. That's because it's treated like one piece because it forms that bigger-than-1x1 decoration. Same thing happens with the pipes and 2x2 bonus block below. Since they're a group, there's padding only on the outside of it

yes, the log is in the bepinex folder, called LogOutput.log
i assume the normal game playerlog doesn't have any errors related to that?
when that happens i usually just relink the emoji and restart then seems to work

Maybe it's because the image is too large. Sure, it's limited to 32x32 so practically any emote should work, but perhaps yours was too "complex" and didn't fit in the limit of a chat message...
a 32x32 image at 4 bytes per channel should be exactly 4kb
so is it like a hypothetical size limit im guessing

There's a huge amount of sfxs in the game, and to prevent bloat from sounds that almost no one would ever need to replace, I cherry picked the most common ones to add to the program
Again, the plugin itself can replace them all already, provided you modify the config file manually using notepad for sounds not present in the gui

changing models means that youd need an entirely different texture sheet for those characters, the program would need to generate a UV map for your characters, but then also show you the UV map in an understandable way :'3
plus desyncs related to player sizes affecting ice block proportions-
needless to say its a daunting task ^v^'
but maybe future updates for the game itself would make this process easier somehow! or maybe vic is just that good and he somehow figures out how to do it :'3

I think they mean the songs. All 5 nsmb original stages use the same two "Overworld" and "Snow" songs, and it randomly chooses one every match
Imagine if the vanilla stages had a toggle to use a custom song or not
