If anything, having powerups be so common makes the color palettes situation worse

Cuz you're more often than not assuming players have a powerup, which can lead to bad plays you wouldn't otherwise do

#

Imagine risking a jump that puts you in the crossfire of other players only because you're not willing to risk a blue player from freezing you and throwing you into a pit, for example

#

The safest bet in such scenario would have been to jump over the blue player and continue running, but instead you thought they had ice flower so you tried going a different route. You now lost 4 stars instead of just 1 and your current powerup
