well, it's like a dropdown

Just copy the character selection dropdown and label it "Game Mode" and remove the code that changes the player and I think you're good to go

Normal - Has no special abilities
Lightning Shield - Easily the most powerful in the Sonic games, but in this game, you can just double jump and attract coins. Only really useful as a lifesaver
Fire Shield - Thrust forward at a blazing speed and knock other players. This will be quite rare
Bubble Shield - The worst shield from Sonic in my opinion, but it's the most powerful and rarest here, as it's essentially a faster ground pound with a bounce. At least you can't cancel.

There are two possible release dates for the first public beta of this mod:

The same day I join Toyhouse. An invite code is closer than ever before, but I still need to wait some time before I actually get an invite code. With that said, the invite code can come any time so I’m not 100% sure; it might even come today!
The day I either graduate or the day before I go on vacation. This year seems like it will have a summer trip, so I want to make sure the mod is released before that. I am aiming for a mobile phone version too so I can play the mod while on a trip

If the first one happens, I will credit myself using the username I’ll use in Toyhouse

there is a set release date for the second one, that being from June 2nd to June 5th, but I still need to know if we have the trip money

the first one, again, doesn’t have a set date, but I will make damn sure it does
