#New Powerup: Bubble Flower

All the powerups in MvL all bring their own thing to the table. Each and every one is unique, and gives a reason to use one or the other. If there is any powerup I can see working in such a fast-paced competitive environment, it would be Wonder's Bubble Flower.

First of all, why? Why should it be added to the game?

Well, the two flower's in the game already, the Fire and Ice flowers, both are unique. The Fire Flower as we all know, allows the player to shoot fast moving projectiles that move across the floor, and damage opponents. The Ice flower, throws projectiles at an arch and bounces once off the ground. If hitting an enemy player, it will freeze them and they can be picked up and thrown.

I believe the Bubble Flower could also bring something unique and original to the table. Something that makes it another great alternative to the Fire Flower, like the Ice Flower, without being a "copy".

How I imagine the Bubble Flower working in MvL:

It would mostly function just as it does in Wonder. You blow a bubble, and the bubble quickly floats one tile above the ground (the same height as Super Mario), moving faster than your top running speed to give you time to jump and bounce off of your bubble to gain extra height.

As for attacking other players, it would, again, mostly function like it does in Wonder. However, with some obvious tweaks and changes to make it fit MvL.

Such as:

Not instantly killing your opponent, but only damaging them.

Players trapped in a bubble will only be stuck for a few seconds, like maybe 1 or 2 seconds if they mash A or B. Or maybe the same amount of time players are frozen from the Ice Flower.

If a player manages to escape from a bubble, they wont take damage. But if someone touches the bubble or bounces off of it, the player inside will get hurt.

And perhaps there could be something that can break a bubble, to give a drawback to the powerup.

I think the Bubble Flower could be a great addition. Let me know what you think!

the main problem with bubble flower is that you can gain infinite height which is very broken

another thing is that the bubble stays out for a decent while so you could block paths with it
i can't really think of anything else that'll be to bad
bubble is very similar to ice since you trap your opponent, although perhaps it might be more balanced than ice due to not being able to pick up people

imo the mashing bit shouldn't be included, it should be like getting frozen from an ice flower where you just have to wait to thaw out

also idk if this is gonna change or "fix" the bubble ability of the flower, but there should be 2 bubbles on screen only and a 2-3 second cooldown for both of the bubbles you shoot out so you can't gain infinite height

now that i think about it it would probably only be one high bounce per air time because if it was two then it might go higher than propeller

I feel like the bubble should work like nsmb wii/u bubble (to get out a player needs to free you from the bubble) but they can take a star away from you if they jump on the bubble or something like that

also whenever 2 people have the bubble flower equipped, i feel like their bubbles should match the color of their character highlight color/map marker

i think if it has a bounce limit, bubbles explode after 2-3 seconds and only damages when you hit the the player in the buble with something then i think its balanced
