when you press a key or a combination of keys could could instantly die and lose a star. this could be useful if you are stuck in the map or something has gone wrong in the game

It's technically in the game but it's a developer thing, hence why Cubby Crazes (hi Cubby!) is saying you should play the game in Unity

I want it

I do think it's useful

In fact i do think it's abusable (Unless you make it so you lose 3-7 stars and so that your teammates have a longer cooldown before being able to grab said stars, that way it's no longer abusable)

But that's not why i want it

I want it because i'm a TF2 player

Tf2 players share 1 braincell

#

Seriously though, I don't think it would be as funny in this game as it is in tf2

I think it would not as much, but it still would be a bit funny when others have an easy way of telling that you killbinded on purpose

#

Step 1: See someone took your powerup
Step 2: Stare deep in their soul as they look back at you
Step 3: Killbind

Honestly, I think this is just more useful than it is funny

#

If you're in a non team fortress match, you might want to give stars to an opponent to get things over with faster

#

I think you're being too vague

#

To be specific, you can give out stars to opponents, but you'll have a hard or at the very least inaccurate time giving them all to a specific opponent

#

The reason i say this is that when stars get dropped from taking damage or death, they have a cooldown before they become re-collectible, meaning that you can't just die a meter under 1 person to give them all your stars.

#

Furthermore, the devs could make it so that a death from a killbind scatters all the stars you drop in multiple directions, thus making it unlikely for you to pass all your stars to one specific individual.

#

In summary, with killbinding it would be possible to give your stars to one specific player only if no one else and no significant hazards are nearby, and for this to happen you probably need to be in a lobby with a total of min 3 and max 5 or so alive players, as a higher player count makes it unlikely for you to find a peaceful spot, and 2 players alive means that you can just end the match early by leaving and rejoining.

#

It's also worth mentioning that making the player drop 3 to 7 stars on death is an important measure in making killbind an option meant only for a few laughs and getting out of actual softlocks, as losing only 1 star would mean that you could killbind and trade 1 star to get out of situations where you would have otherwise lost 3 (or rarely even 5) stars to certain game scenarios like getting crushed in Fortress, or chased down by a star/mega player.

Ooh, that's very interesting

#

I did not think of that before

#

It's very likely that people would use killbinds to get out of situations with the least star loss

#

I wonder if this could be fixed by making the option a button you hold while idle

If i have to be honest, idle to killbind sounds boring and trivial to me, i wouldn't mind having it cost io around 5 stars knowing the reasons why
