You should probably name the mod to include the general gamepad thing though
Instead of focusing on the wiimote support then adding other controllers with the pluses in between each name

since I haven’t found a Switch Pro API that uses the actual Pro Controller features instead of generic gamepad features
Also, originally I wanted this mod to only focus on the controllers actual human beings will use
plus the Guitar
and then I saw a program that supported the controllers my mod used plus the uDraw GameTablet
Speaking of that how are the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the uDraw GameTablet more popular than the ones on the Wii

I thought coding in Wii Remote support on a game was way out of my league
but man after I got it to work
Yeah it can be scary at first to try game dev stuff if you're starting out with no experience

and literally no experience at all
but damn
and then I started adding support for more controllers that the API didn’t support
like strangely enough the Classic Controller Pro
but it’s really easy to stumble through some road blocks
like with the Wii U Pro Controller (which claims to be supported by the API, but it doesn’t detect at all), the Drawsome Tablet, and even non-Wii controllers
I’m still trying to find out how the Joy-Con works, since apparently, you have to add Joy-Con support to every scene, which I have no words for
and no I haven’t found APIs for other controllers that are supported by Unity, but don’t support their unique features
I'm honestly still unsure about joycon support, by the way
Other controllers are cool and all, but joycons are 2 separate controllers technically
yeah that’s probably my biggest road block
unless I add single Joy-Con support for now
Single joycon might be the best option, but at the same time, the joycon is such a shit controller when used by itself

I made a slight fix to the propeller controls
Mario will now only use it once when the Nunchuk is held sideways

I will make the buttons mapped to ZL and ZR also available to L and R, but not vice versa
as the SNES Classic Controller is detected as a Classic Controller Pro, which exclusively uses the ZR button and not the R button
It'll connect to vanilla servers so that's pretty close

damn that's the second time someone said that to me
but if I would make it a PR I'd have to make it fit with the rest of the game
the mod was really only made because I was tired of having to leave the lobby every time I wanted to, say, switch from a Nunchuk to a Classic Controller, where I'd have to manually rebind all the buttons
but to make it available to others, a lot of things get in the way
in the original Nunchuk scheme, the Z button is supposed to only run, while B forcedly runs and uses the fire flower/ice flower
because it has no real Powerup Action button, and deactivating Sprint Shoots Fireball would make the flowers useless
There's also the auto-run when using the Turntable controller
and also, there's the motion controls, which all use the propeller action, and only the propeller action
Anyways, do you guys think the button mappings (not the execution of the controls) are perfect in each common controller?

I probably have an idea, but it’s very crude as I don’t own the controller yet
You hold the Wii Remote vertically on one hand and move with the D-Pad while jumping with the B trigger (Not the A button because it’s difficult to press both the D-Pad and the A button at the same time while holding the Wii Remote vertically). You hold one of the sticks with the other hand.
The left rim or the minus button act as your item reserve, and the right rim acts as running toggle
and then you have a big area for you to violently hit when you have a fire flower or ice flower
or when you have the propeller, but you can also shake the Wii Remote to do so

What do you guys think about analog turbo for fire/ice flowers? (In the Classic Controllers and GameCube Controllers, pressing the R trigger halfway down will fire once, while clicking the R trigger will fire immediately)
