MvLO doesn't really use non-influced RNG. Both Star Spawns and Powerup Chances are influenced RNG
at least with those RNG elements I know what will happen next
If Counter = 0 and if running then knockback
If Counter = 0 and if running then Counter decrement by 1
If Counter < 100 and if not running then Counter increment by 1

Powerup Chances, I just look at my star count.
Star Spawns, I just know the star spawn logic being it cannot spawn in the same spot unless all star spots are deactivated, and it cannot spawn in a spot that's 300 units within a player
just rng for any rule is a bit meh for me

Right now normal blocks give out a mushroom or fire flower depending on your state. This would make them all act as a red block or as the powerup you get after coining yourself up

In Coin Atsume I like to have players teleport on the same frame as respawn

The conditions you used for them might be host-only. It's a known bug
I think in 10-mini they were changed to be host based not client based
It's an anticheat measure put in place. I haven't figured it out completely yet so some rules still suffer from this

It's not an issue with vcmi, it's just that playing platformer games on a touchscreen sucks. They weren't designed for this.
Also, there is a button for jumping and firing, and there's a joystick. It's the white circles on the left and right
Moreso, mvlo and vcmi are optimized for desktop computers and there are compatibility issues on android, thus the music is missing
like vic said, yeah, platformers on a touchscreen are just a big no, unless the game itself was made to be used with a touchscreen, like kirby mass attack on the DS

Maybe it's easy for me because I got used to it (or because I used it since I was 12 years old)
Crashes every other day, takes a billion years to import assets, uses a really confusing coding language leading to games being somewhat more broken
it's either missing basic functionality or has multiple imperfect implementations of the same functionality
like ok i get it, i'm the programmer and i have to implement stuff
but if that thing is a thing that 90% of other developers have already had to implement, why do it all from scratch myself??
one example i can think of is music looping. can't think of other specific examples rn bu you know

Yes

yup, all the on-screen controls (dpad, jump and action buttons, scoreboard, pause and reserve) are already implemented and appear automatically when you run the game on mobile (either native android or ios, or the webgl build running via browser on those two)
the user can also manually enable them via options β controls
see line 136 of GameManager.cs and the Utils.GetDeviceType() function, as well as the OnScreen game object in the GameManager prefab
