Wouldn't work, in testing it turns out the timer can be around 15 seconds, not always 15 seconds

In recording, I actually had to speed up the time speed sometimes to 110%, other times to 150%
It bangs though as a beat even if sad as minore
can the ability for it to be a front or belly dive be added, cuz currently the type of dive you do is dependant on what was the last way you got knocked
It's not intentional, I'm not sure how to make it independent

i also feel like Dive combos could be a thing
since the reason I like the fireball type more is because it's more likely that you will do a dive again if there's another coin that causes that dive

why do Piranha Plants and Bullet Bills still spawn when enemies are disabled?
Because the disable enemies rule deletes all enemy spawnpoints in a level, and bullet bill launchers and piranha plants don't use that system
should probs add them to the equation too
btw vic, you know the upside down piranhas right you can make them be able reach and hit mario just by strecthing them a wide a little bit

I was going to say 6-Castle is possible with that rule but then I remembered that you need a propeller (which since there are no coins at the start makes it impossible without adding a rule to gain powerups)
actually there is the glitch that lets you fly with dives
so it probably is possible with at least 2 people

here are my rules for the challenge
the respawn level part is to avoid just digging out a path by constantly dying to coins
2-4 is hard at one section but pretty easy after it
2-A is an absolute mess but it's possible using a little glitch
AL jungle was rushed i still needa make a better race concept some time
so usually when you launch off of a spring block you have less momentum when flying in the air than when normally running
but if you let go of directions when you launch off the spring block, it retains your previous momentum
letting you launch way farther
yup, that's an intended feature
it's also present in the og game
it's a neat tech to use in Ice in normal games, for example
this level is really interesting to optimize
it's hard before knowing the route
but once you know the route, it's not too hard to get fast times
sub 30 might be possible with cleaner optimization on the last part of the level (after the last spring block)
you can totally do the last part of the levl with a single spinner jump, you gotta believe in it and it'll take you far if you use the momentum conservation trick of no holding any keys

it's part of another tech, the slope high speed acceleration that makes you go super fast! crouching after doing it prevents the character from doing any double or triple jumps, which do revert the high acceleration
so yeah, it can save a buncha time in the right levels
another personal reason is that it makes the player's hitbox shorter and it's a bit easier to avoid ceilings
also is the dry bones just a cosmetic thing or does it change the physics and/or hitbox?
if it's the 2nd option, then it might be a bit unfair
dry bones and other characters coming in future versions don't and won't change any physics, the change is only (audio)visual

if the levels have changed too much between your version and the latest one, the moderators will separate it into a subcategory

I like that you used a 3d model for it. What I don't like, and I know this is a very unimportant nitpick, is that the model's material doesn't replicate the shine of the original well enough

the one that did the wall jump was way faster, but because of the koopa cycle it gets by being faster, it ends up losing almost all of the time it gains
I'd imagine using a shader for it would help tremendously
I unfortunately know like, zero stuff about shader coding, but I'll try looking into it at some point bc it kinda bothers me as well lol
yea, that koopa after the checkpoint is an annoying thing to deal with

you cant walljump from dive
A dive is a small knockback in the direction you're currently facing
as such, you lose all control until your character gets back up
although the walljump then dive would work to progress to the right
