also id like to point out that the cloud buddy and the platform use different textures despite looking almost exactly the same
they are also apart of the same model and are in fact not two seperate models

it not only makes things in the mod look ugly but also fucks up some textures, mainly toad and toadettes

I think you forgot to disable mipmaps.
that should fix any and all issues you have with NDS Res.
mipmaps lower the resolution of textures using a Linear filter, which is why everything is blurred, to prevent aliasing issues, but low res graphics are all about aliasing.
I don't think you should do that unless you're sure your mod is greatly optimized

- leaf falling animation. smooth swaying > zigzag
- i dont think any modern game w/ it lets you keeping full running speed when using it but urs does, iirc.

as of a few days ago my computer has been blipping to black (among other things) and so i’ve been trying to troubleshoot it, updated to windows 11 (didn’t fix it) and im pretty sure it’s something to do with the ram cus it’s through the roof all of a sudden.
point is, idk how long it’ll take to fix this cuz if the ram is high as is without anything open then having unity and such open will be 10x worse, meaning mod progress is halted for a bit. idk for how long but hopefully it doesn’t mean pushing back the planned release date.
