I was working on a results screen, but there was an update and that ruined it
I really like the idea ngl, but what if someone commits suicide while running away from you?
Also I would like to precise, that if a player gets killed by a shell, then the kill goes to the last person who kicked or threw the shell
Would it be where no one gets the kill or would it still count
Self kill would add a death count to your result but won't give a kill to the player that was chasing you.
Instead of doing -1 & +1 to the score it will just do -1 for sd.
Makes sense I guess, probably would be hard to have the game keep track of the time a player is shot by another player and the time a player kills themselves
Like smash bros mechanic.
It's probably not the hardest thing after making this whole game.
Another thing that would be pretty cool to keep track of your kills during the game would be a killfeed
Kinda like in splatoon where it shows the person who killed and the player they killed, and in the middle show which item killed them
I just imagined that killing someone (their last life) could give you a one up bonus for doing so. But it's not that of a good idea. Just thought about it, tho a result screen is really one of the most important feature.
Wouldn't it make more sense to add a counter to how many players you sidelined?
Talking about Splatoon, it also have ranked battles, which makes me think, they could have a ranking system and even special rules like a zone gamemode. But it's rly going far now lol

Luigi died by trying to throw a Bob-Bomb which made him lose time and he got crused by a wall plus he got a L by his dad going for the milk ratio he suck at gaming and touching grass no cap he's a noob.

Sadly I can't imagine them having the Minecraft style kill feeds, that would take way to much work, the splatoon ones take less time to read as well and don't take up much space

Kill Counter can use the last interaction for figuring out who killed you
What do you mean by last interaction? Like last person who hurt the player
Yeah
When you touch an object, it will gain your interaction id, so a bobomb being kicked by you or shot by your fireball will have your interaction id
When someone dies from it, you'll be on their kill list
That makes sense ye, even if it's not 100% accurate it works
As for how do we know if it was a suicide? For bumping, we can have a timer when you regain control. After X amount of seconds, the last interaction will be cleared, and your death will be counted as a suicidew
Ye I was thinking that too, I thought it would be hard for the game to keep track of that
Why I'd check for if you have control is because, bumping and falling into a pit can take a long time, especially on stages like Sky with the tilted mushrooms
Also, for some kills, you will regain control, but you didn't wallkick (i.e Ice Flower kills)

Kinda, all that was there was the player icons
How it'd work would be that you can just press CONTINUE to go to the next round, idea was t be like the wins system in the original MvL DS
I'd rather have it like that where you press a button to click out of the results screen instead of being forced out of it while ur reading
