I think the chorus vocal clashes with the lead, I was going to try side chaining the vocal a little, don’t think I have it right yet

I’ll post up what I changed

I think you got something cool going in general. love the sort of mechanical sounding loop going on, faintly in the background.
I would say, you could play a bit more with automation, regarding volume of different layers. Maybe fade out the bells slightly at some point, but double the strings with a different string sound to emphasis different parts, and differentiate them a bit more, in terms of overall mix. I feel the vocals could generally be a tad louder.

I fixed part of the chorus, changed the intro a little, think I cleared most of that up, still find the vocal clashing a little though

That's some great improments right there! Have you considered cutting bands via EQ to make the vocals clash less? I tend to cut most things rather aggressively, and balance sections accordingly.

Well the vocal has a lofi kinda sound to its color, I thought if I cut that it might not show in the mix, I will look this tomorrow about to get some sleep

That makes sense, also though that vocal sample I used probably didn’t need an DS or other Effect to process it. I might remove those and see if I can get the clarity back that way as well, but I agree the other things too

@dusky arch extra full-length tracks in your own thread need approval — yours is queued and will appear once approved. Clips under 30s post normally.

I was using massive player VST for the 808 baseline. I threw that one off and picked up Pure Sub VST by Arturia, this thing is pretty solid. Definitely worth a couple $

I’m trying to post the mp3 I just rendered. Discord is so slow with these sometimes
